CTMH Technique Blog Hop - Color Your World

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!

This month there are {11} of us highlighting the Color Your World"This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from {Helen Gullet} Blog, you are on the right track!

Adult coloring is all the rage right now! It is relaxing, for sure. I thought hey, we have an awesome stamp set Ornate Blossoms Item Number: D1687, that would be perfect for adult coloring. So many options using this set! Especially since these marry with the Thincut die set...see the thin blue line around the images? Stamp images outlined in blue coordinate with the Ornate Blossoms Thin Cuts (Z3227).  One of May Favorite Cards to make is a triple stamp card. I am going to show your my Color your world Triple Stamp Card...

To start you are going to need 6 bases, 3 in black, 3 in white, cut in the following staggering measurments.

Black: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″
Black: 3 1/4 x 4  1/2″
Black: 2 1/4 x 3 1/2″

White: 4 x 5 1/4″
White: 3 x 4 1/4″
White: 2 x 3 1/4″

  1. You will need adhere the three white pieces together, with re positional adhesive. I use regular adhesive and dab my finger on it until the tackiness is reduced. Or if you are really good, you can go without.
  2. Then select your images you want to stamp. I am picking three images, Large, med, and small. I like to go off the edge of the paper, and I like to stamp in the same color as my layering base. So all of my images will be in black ink.
  3. Once my images are stamped to my licking, it's now time to add my color.
  4. Using my ShinHan Twin Touch Markers, I will start with my light color and then add each shade darker. I do this because it makes the lines between the shades blend flawlessly.
  5. Take the white layers apart and marry them with their respective black layers.
  6. Using the Extra thick pink twine I am wrapping my layers and tying off with a faux bow.
  7. Now I will adhere my layers to my card base.
I love the finished result!
