DanYellScraps - 'No Worries' Workshop (updated)

Oh My - now this is a workshop!

I have taken the No Worries Paper Pack (which is perfect for summer) and turned it into some really adorable pages. This paper reminded me so much of my youth at the lake each summer.

Can I just say - this took what felt like forever...but it was soooo worth it. I love each and every layout, maybe it is theGgold Glitter cardstock that gives me that sandy beach feel.  Or perhaps the versatile Alphabet Marker Stamp set! I love how it gave this beachy paper a finishing touch, especially with that Ombre effect...okay so lets take a closer look at these 16 pages...

CTMH Technique Blog Hop Shake It Up

Welcome to this month's Technique Blog Hop, featuring Shake it Up!

I am going to create a Shaker Card, because they are so fun to create, and give! Today I am focusing on a completely clear, easy and FAST shaker Card!

If you are coming from Melissa's Blog you are on the right track. Let's go ahead and get started!

First we will start with the supplies used -

Now on to the project -

Using my stamp set and thin cuts, I stamped out an umbrella, beach chair, lemonade glass and sentiment.
I created an ombre effect on my umbrella seen above with lagoon, glacier and sapphire inks. The Beach chair is stamped in Lagoon and Desert Sand. Next my stamped images were adhered to the outside of a 4x6 Flip Flap.

I adhered two black sequins to the inside of the Flap-flap, behind the sentiment. I am using these as placeholders for my gift card. this way when the shaker card is shaken, the gift card stays in place.

Next I filled my flip flap with sequins from my stash. Before removing the adhesive strip I cut the ends of this area down slightly to fit snugly inside the flip flap. To cover up the adhesive, I added some shimmer trim.

I really enjoyed working with the Flip Flaps and am excited to see what the other ladies have created for their Shake it Up project. Please consider leaving a comment before heading to Annemarie's Blog to see her Shake It Up creation.
