10 Things My Kids Say| Mini Layout

Kids always have something to say, right!
Well with four kids in my house, there is always someone saying something that makes us laugh, say "Awe" or go "WHAT?!"
Recently I asked my kids 25 questions and some of their answers were tear worthy laughable!

In collaboration with Michelle - this weeks mini layout was inspired partly by what my kids say - and always wanting to create the cute little tags on a page! Be sure to check out Michelle's mini layout over on her blog

So Michelle is the Design Space guru between the two of us...I always make her laugh when she talks about using design space because I roll my eyes and okay, FINE! Don't get me wrong, once I am using it, I love it. Until recently, I saw it more as chore, and less as a tool.

With Michelle's constant encouragement - I am finally using it without being prompted to! Woo-hoo!

Over the Rainbow front flip card.

I have the cutest 3x3 card to show off today.

I created the this card using the stamp set After The Rain. It is a mini stamp set, with a rainbow hiding behind the cloud shown below,  with a sun peeking out! I have used this in pre-cut card kit - read about it here - and I wanted to show a different take on other card styles using this stamp.

To create the cloud back ground, I created a cloud stencil in design space. Using bluebird ink, I lightly added cloud shadows to the back ground.

Die Cutting Pictures : Mini Layout

Remember the days when we fussy cut our photos with decorative edge scissors? Then we moved from that to leaving the pictures as is for the most part! I sort of miss the fun in cutting the pictures, maybe not so much with the decorative scissors part, but none the less.

Today Michelle and I have a super cute mini layout inspired by this Pinterest Find. So make sure you click back to Michelle's take on this layout style.
I had so much fun using all of my circle die cuts to create the focal points on this layout. Of course I had to make a shaker element out of the main picture.

This was my son when he was 2 on our family vacation to Tennessee back in 2014! He has ALWAYS loved being outside. This day at the park with his Mow-Mow (don't ask me how he came up with that) aka grandma, was super special because he got to ride the teeter-totter with her. They ended their day with a campfire and smores. His memory of this had faded as he is almost 8 now, but we will always have these sweet pictures to remember this day with her.

Here is a close up of the shaker element! I just love how it popped. I added black shimmer, which is hard to photograph!

    Layout: the places we've been!

These 6 x 8 layouts are becoming a thing! My first step is chit chatting with Michelle looking over our pinterest boards for ideas and inspiration. I am excited that from here on out - we have all of our wednesday layout inspirations planned. Not necessarily created, but definitely planned out.

This weeks inspiration comes from a pocket style 8 1/2 x 11 layout on pinterest. I took 4 sections I liked and created my version on this page. Be sure to hop on over to Michelle's blog for her version.

I created a pocket for my list and I can use the opposite side for additional journaling.

Card Sunday: Dahlia Flower W/Video tutorial

    Hello Friends,

Today's card is something I have wanted to create for awhile now. It's not as complicated as it looks, its simply folding circles into fancy triangles and lining them up in a circle. This first card is my trial card, and you can see it isn't perfect, and that's okay! My Friend Michelle is back to show her creation with this style of folding and her card is stunning!!!! Be sure to hop on over there.

We have not done a bash your stash post in awhile. With the new catalog just releasing, it is time to kick our stash in to high mode creativity! It's just paper, and does no good just sitting there.

I bashed my Celebrate Today paper stash to create this beauty...I followed a pin found on pinterest, in their created they add a tray to hold the compartments in, however I adhered mine together and then secured that with a random ribbon, tied with a cute bow.

I love how cute this turned out. I still have loads of Celebrate Today floral paper to get through. That being said, when you place an order on my shopping site, I will mail you the precut cut for free!!! Yup, 100% FREE as a thank you for your business! Celebrate today - Mini Layout

Hey! Welcome back to Mini Layout Wednesday!

Michelle and I took a couple weeks off to regroup and focus on some really stunning layouts! We have so many cute and awesome layouts to bring to you!
Todays layout was inspired by vision Michelle had for a single page layout. She wanted something that focused on one image. I loved that idea, and wanted a sister page to it. So I jumped over to my old stash of idea books and flipped through until I found something similar to Michelle's idea that had a sister page. I call the right side of the page a sister page, because they should be like sisters, you can tell they are related, but not identical, like most sisters!

Be sure to hop on over to Michelle's Blog and see her beautiful page.

Scroll down to watch a tutorial of this layout and the supplies used.
